1.Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") supplements our Terms of Service. Violations may result in suspension or termination of your account without refund.

2.Permitted Uses

  • Scraping publicly accessible web pages for which you have a lawful basis to access and process data.
  • Price monitoring, market research, lead enrichment, and competitive intelligence where permitted by law.
  • Collecting training data, aggregating listings, and powering internal business tools.
  • Testing and development of your own applications and data pipelines.

3.Prohibited Uses

You may not use OmniScrape to:

  • Access, scrape, or distribute content in violation of applicable law, including copyright, data-protection, and computer-fraud statutes.
  • Bypass authentication or scrape behind login walls without authorization from the site owner.
  • Harvest personal data (PII) at scale without a lawful basis and appropriate consent.
  • Conduct credential stuffing, brute-force attacks, or any form of unauthorized access.
  • Send spam, phishing content, or malware through or via the Services.
  • Overload, disrupt, or degrade target websites or our infrastructure (denial-of-service).
  • Resell or sublicense the Services without a written agreement with OmniScrape.
  • Scrape sites whose terms of service explicitly prohibit automated access, unless you have separate legal authorization.

4.Your Responsibilities

  • Ensure you have the legal right to access and use the data you scrape.
  • Respect robots.txt and site-specific rate limits where legally required.
  • Handle scraped personal data in compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and other applicable privacy laws.
  • Keep your API keys confidential and rotate them if compromised.

5.Enforcement

We monitor for abuse patterns such as excessive failed requests, reports from target sites, and violations of this AUP. We may throttle, suspend, or terminate accounts without prior notice for serious violations. We cooperate with law enforcement when required.

6.Reporting Abuse

If you believe an OmniScrape user is violating this policy, contact abuse@omniscrape.io with details. We investigate all credible reports.

7.Changes

We may update this AUP as our Services evolve. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. See also our Terms of Service and Refund Policy.
